"Atmaca Ballistic Armor Project" Advances to Finals at Bursa Science Festival 2015

The "Atmaca Ballistic Armor Project," developed by our department's students for use as armor by Turkish Armed Forces and General Directorate of Security personnel, has qualified for the finals among 691 projects in the Higher Education category at Bursa Science Festival 2015.

The project, conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ugur Caligulu by Firat University Technology Faculty Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students Cemil Kilinc, Ismail Toprak, and Olgun Yardim, outperformed numerous competing projects at the festival organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education, and BEBKA, with support from the Science Centers Research and Development Institute Association.

Firat University Rector Prof. Dr. Kutbeddin Demirdag congratulated the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students on their achievement and wished them success in the finals scheduled for May 8-10.
